Resilience is dependent on the ability to work together, to share resources and success stories and to learn from one another, without barriers. To value and conserve biodiversity and inspire people to share nature's benefits fairly and equitably, we need to provide open education resources, which can be accessed by anyone, anywhere, anytime. These resources need to be user-friendly, up to date, practical, inspiring and representative of our natural diversity. Without open education, we will not be able to maintain equity and fairness, and the rift between educational institutions/educators (at all levels) will continue to grow. We will use our development of models, such as the Boreal Forest Use and Adventure-based Education, as examples.
