Eastern Tropical Pacific Seascape ETPS - CMAR: Moving towards a Sustainable Regional Initiative

The poster will show in two parts what has been at what should become the Eastern Tropical Pacific Seascape, where Protected Areas Agencies of Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador and Colombia work together to protect the ecological connectivity of five (5) marine protected areas. The first part is a retrospective look to the projects, actions and developments of the ETPS in the six years passed since its creation. The second part is a prospective look, of towards where the ETPS has to advance in terms of its legal, technical and political work and structure, as for move to a bigger imitative linked to more marine and costal protected areas, an also towards a multirepresentative organization besides protected areas agencies work fisheries authorities, tourism authorities and law enforcement authorities, as well as private partners (NGO´s and multilateral trusts and funds).
