Corporate responsibility is increasingly becoming not so much a moral imperative, but rather a critical business decision. There is compelling evidence that those businesses that embrace the full suite of corporate responsibility are finding decisions that are better for the environment are also better for their business. KPMG International Corporate Responsibility (CR) Reporting Survey 2011 stated "... it is clear that CR has moved from being a moral imperative to a critical business issue."
This session will aim to reinforce the view that biodiversity is emerging as a key component of corporate strategy. It will highlight examples of where decisions relating to biodiversity are impacting business and how tools such as IBAT can help businesses from many sectors better understand their biodiversity risk – whether screening investments, fulfilling legal obligations or managing risks at the operations level.
