There are many new IUCN Red List training opportunities available! If you would like to learn more about how to assess species for the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species or for a national or regional Red List, please come to this event to hear about the many new resources being developed.
This event aims to:
• Launch the newly developed online Red List training resources, including the virtual classroom and Red List Assessor course
• Raise the profile of Red List training opportunities, including Red List certification courses, and encourage communication and collaboration
• Maximise communication about and catalyze participation in these capacity building activities, to ignite involvement among the broad network of Red List users and the wider conservation community
The event will include a demonstration of the new online Red List training tools available, with plenty of opportunity for discussion and Q&A. A range of new training developments and opportunities will also be presented, including the IUCN Red List Assessor course and certificate, and presentation of the new and expanding IUCN Red List Trainer network. Discussion will also focus on future steps in meeting Red List training and support needs within and beyond the IUCN network.
Refreshments and drinks will be provided.
