Political analyst and journalist specialised in Environmental issues, Human Rights and Armed Conflict, Ms. Márquez Espinoza works for the newspaper El Universal Mexico, the magazines Teorema Ambiental and Perspectiva Política, the Quadratín Agency and various radio stations.
She graduated in Law and has postgraduate studies in Constitutional Law and studies in Political Science from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She has followed additional courses on Leadership (Harvard Business Review LA), International Journalism (School of Journalism of Newspaper El País), Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (American University), among others.
Lecturer from 1996 to date mainly in Europe, Africa and Asia on issues like sustainable development, democracy and leadership, she is the author of several publications on these subjects.
Member of various NGOs, the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (Comexi) and the Earth Journalist Network, she has been also Member of the Board of Advisors for the Global Integrity Alliance (GIA) of the World Bank and USAID.
