People often pay more to live near nature; to be by the coast, have gardens and to have a good view. Could there be a future where people buy nature the same way they buy a house, car, or holiday. Could nature itself, become currency?

The IUCN needs engage other sectoral leaders in this dialogue, not preach to the choir, or else in a few generations the question will be "nature, what's that?"

The subject should be why these messages, which we can see that the speakers are tired of endlessly repeating, have not reached business, people, politicians much earlier?

Instead of so many words, public tears by some of our decision makers in the light of the desaster would bring us very far!

The power to drive the green economy is in our hands - 1.2 bil smart phones, mass social media and networks, potential for radical product transparency driving environmental and social performance of business thro personalizing product labels. How can we make the most of these revolutions in technology and social networks for nature conservation?

During many years NGOs had to take action and assume governmental responsibilities, fullfiling gaps related to biodiversity conservation. Isn't it time to transfer back capacities into the government? Or in other words, isn't it time to assume responsabilities?
