Ms. Sally RANNEY

Sally Ranney has 30 years experience within the private/public sectors in land, water and energy policy; sustainability and biodiversity. She anchors A Matter of Degree and in this capacity has interviewed Ted Turner, Ashok Khosla, Sir Richard Branson, James Cameron, T. Boone Pickens, and Dr. Sylvia Earle. Ranney has moderated panel discussions at the American Renewable Energy Day Summit, Aspen, USA, the World Climate Summit, Cancun, Mexico and the World Green Summit, at Rio+20. She presented a TED talk at TEDx Denver and was a featured speaker at the Biennial of the Americas Summit.

H.E. Mr. Henri DJOMBO

H.E. Mr. Henri Djombo was born in the region of Likouala (northern Congo). He studied in Leningrad (Soviet Union). He joined the Public service of his country in 1976, and attained the position of Director General of the Rural Economy in 1979, then Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry from 1980 to 1985. He was Ambassador based in Bulgaria, CEO of the sugar refinery of the Republic of Congo, and he is a member of the Political Bureau of the PCT since 1989.

H.E. Mr. Bharrat JAGDEO

Former President of Guyana, Bharrat Jagdeo has a double role as IUCN High Level Envoy for Sustainable Development in Forest Countries and IUCN Patron of Nature. For many years, President Jagdeo has emphasized the need for urgent international action to avert the worst extremes of climate change – and “to make global development and combating climate change compatible, not competing objectives”.

H.E. Mr. Maan-ee LEE

H.E. Mr. Lee, Maan-ee, former Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea, is one of the national leaders who have made a concerted effort to improve and enhance environmental value and sustainable development.

He has facilitated experts groups, local governmental organizations, and civil societies to aggressively participate in planning and implementing policies orienting the environment and climate change. He has also played a leading role in making people’s life environmentally-friendly.

Ms. Ruksana MIRZA

Ruksana Mirza is the Head of Sustainable Development at Holcim Group Support Limited in Switzerland and is responsible for supporting compliance with Holcim’s internal and external ecological and social obligations.

Mr. Marvin ODUM

Marvin E. Odum is President of Shell Oil Company and Director Upstream of Royal Dutch Shell’s subsidiary companies in the Americas. Upstream Americas employs more than 9,000 people and represents a significant portion of the Royal Dutch Shell investment program, from traditional oil and gas development to emerging technologies in a wide range of areas, including heavy oil, onshore gas, light tight oil, deepwater, wind and biofuels.
