Convocar a partes interesadas/creaci�n de redes IUCN provided strong support to IPBES to set-up and facilitate IPBES-3 Stakeholders days.
Educaci�n/Comunicaci�n/Concientizaci�n IUCN experts published an article in Nature to stress the danger for IPBES to start working without a Conflict of Interest Policy adopted (articles attached).
Educaci�n/Comunicaci�n/Concientizaci�nIUCN developed and validated through consultation across the Union, a synthesis of existing initiatives, gaps, and recommendations as “IUCN suggestions to IPBES work programme” (attached).
Educaci�n/Comunicaci�n/Concientizaci�nIUCN experts published a comparison between IPBES and IPCC, in Science & Society (article attached).
Educaci�n/Comunicaci�n/Concientizaci�nSystematic translation and dissemination of IPBES calls, across the Union using: Union portal (under section « opportunities»); Communication focal points of IUCN Commissions; Global communication unit for IUCN Members; Global emails to secretariat; and Targeted emails to relevant experts.
Influencia pol�tica/promoci�n de pol�ticasAn IUCN “one programme” delegation participated in IPBES-3 to follow-up and advocate for adoption of the remaining operational modalities of IPBES, especially conflict of interest policy, strategic partnership policy, stakeholder engagement and communication strategy.
Influencia pol�tica/promoci�n de pol�ticasAs IUCN sees stakeholder engagement as a priority for the work of IPBES, in 2014 IUCN actively participated in the revision of the Stakeholder Engagement Strategy (SES) and advocated for civil society driven implementation of the SES during IPBES-3.

IUCN successfully mobilized, across the Union, nominations into MEP with several nominations accepted during IPBES-3. IUCN experts are also well represented in groups working on IPBES deliverables, 1/8 to 1/6 of experts are from IUCN.

Capacitaci�nIUCN made an in-kind support offer to IPBES (IPBES/2/17 Annex VII) including a 0.5 full-time equivalent of IUCN staff to support stakeholder engagement for 2014–2018. IPBES accepted IUCN in-kind offer after IPBES-3, upon adoption of the Stakeholder Engagement Strategy (IPBES/3/4), and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IPBES will be developed in 2015.
Convocar a partes interesadas/creaci�n de redesIUCN will support the self-organisation of the open-ended, inclusive Network of IPBES stakeholders through facilitation of meetings related to the structuration of the Stakeholder Network and the drafting of Terms of Reference for the IPBES stakeholder Network.
Educaci�n/Comunicaci�n/Concientizaci�nTo further encourage IUCN Members, Councillors, and Committees to get engaged in IPBES, IUCN will set-up raising awareness sessions in each Regional Conservation Forum (RCF) held from Jun. – Dec. 2015. The proposed format: a raising awareness presentation, followed by a panel discussion with regional IUCN experts involved in IPBES, and a Q&A session from the audience.
