Capacitaci�nIUCN's SSC Species Conservation Planning Sub-Committee is providing guidance on and assisting SSC Specialist Groups in implementing species conservation planning.
Convocar a partes interesadas/creaci�n de redesIUCN is leading the Key Biodiversity Areas project which outlines a set of criteria for identifying sites of global importance for biodiversity.
Influencia pol�tica/promoci�n de pol�ticasIUCN is contributing regularly to policy mechanisms such as CBD, CITES, CMS, etc. and assisting countries directly with development of NBSAPs.
Actividades t�cnicas/cient�ficasThe Red List is constantly being updated with new and re-assessments. The last update took place in June 2015 and the number of species assessed is now 77,340.
Indique cuáles han sido los resultados/logros obtenidos en el marco de las actividades realizadas: 
IUCN and in particular the Global Species Programme is engaged in many activities to help implement Aichi Target 12. In addition to continually updating the Red List and engaging with CBD and other international MEAs, IUCN is leading the development of Key Biodiversity Areas, leading a major invasive species programme and also contributing intensively to work on preventing and combatting illegal wildlife trade. The IUCN SSC Reintroduction Specialist Group continues to provide guidance and support to SSC Specialist Groups and beyond regarding re-introduction of species as a part of conservation strategies.

IUCN is working with countries to facilitate understanding of the needs for implementing Aichi Target 12 and providing scientific expertise in that regard.
