Educaci�n/Comunicaci�n/Concientizaci�nIUCN Secretariat and CEESP jointly published two review papers on the role of ecosystems in food security, including the importance of ecosystem services for local communities. These were presented at an FAO conference on forests and food systems.

The basic framework on ecosystem services and food security has served to guide development of IUCN's engagement and programme development on food security and ecosystems.
