Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken: 
The Global Groups Terms of Reference were approved by IUCN Council. Overall the Global Group has achieved 100% representation from across all IUCN Regions and includes representatives from Secretariat and IUCN Council. The Global Group is now firmly established and and participants actively engaged.
In 2017 the IUCN Global Group met 5 times. The minutes of these meetings are linked to below.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome : 
None.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution: 
Both online and face-to-face meetings will contribute to driving the implementation of this Resolution forward. In addition a global directory of National and Regional Committee contacts is to be published in 2018.
