Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken: 
-CEESP through the Theme on Governance, Equity and Rights has formed a working group on Conservation and Human Rights and one of the line of work with focused on Whakatane Mechanism (WM) and conflict resolution. (CEESP, FPP, Natural Justice, WWF, WCS)
-Global Dialogue on Conservation and Human Rights in Nov 2017 (organized by FPP, Swedbio, Natural Justice, CEESP and CIPDP). This Dialogue brought together communities (incl. from Kenya, DRC and Thailand, where three WM processes have taken place ) and conservation and human rights organisations (further details in FPP activity report).
-National dialogues in Kenya (March)
-Member FPP has been asked to and has provided support/follow up to processes in DRC, Kenya and Thailand. FPP provides details in their activity report, including around recent challenges and incidences of conflict impacting communities and processes. FPP notes that further resources and a greater number of initiatives would advance the application of WM.
-In DRC, Member ICCN notes the creation of committee to follow up on review of roadmap created in 2014 between the Batwa and Parc National de Kahuzi Biega, civil society actors and provincial assembly and government (July) and also cites recent conflicts. Please refer to ICCN's Activity Report.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome : 
IUCN's membership comprises of civil society and government members and it is important to continue to identify best ways to serve as a convener for diverse voices including in supporting conflict resolution.

As noted above, FPP and ICCN both cite challenges in respect to WM processes they have been engaged in.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution: 
Continued work by CEESP formed Task Force.
Possible follow on Global Dialogue in Asia in 2018. Continued discussions at CCRN in Halifax, May 2018.
Follow up on WM processes in DRC, Kenya, Thailand
Enhancing One Programme engagement in advancing rights-based approaches to conservation and in finding the resources to support related activities.
