The IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law has involved in a series of events across the world in promoting and implementing principles of environmental rule of law.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome :
It is difficult for the secretariat focal point to judge because no reports have been received from relevant members or commissions.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution:
"Environmental Courts & Tribunals: A Guide for Policy Makers" commissioned by the UN Environment and published in 2016 has laid out a framework of best practices for creating environmental courts and tribunals. A focal point at WCEL needs to be identified to support the implementation of the resolution.
