¿Qué esfuerzos se están llevando a cabo para superar dichos obstáculos?: 
Acquisition of funding has been a challenge, along with a lack of data regarding the distribution of freshwater protected areas. We are developing an integrated fundraising strategy and collaborating with global experts to collate data on freshwater protected areas.
