This will attract, educate, engage and facilitate activities by both professional and amateur mycologists in conservation of fungi in India including their habitats. On-going
Actividades de campoIn conservation plans of the country in situ conservation of macro fungi will be attempted for the threatened species by protecting their habitats.On-going
Influencia pol�tica/promoci�n de pol�ticasThe Red List of Macro-Fungi of India is being brought to the notice of policy makers and Government using direct contacts as well as through the good offices of the National Focal Point for Convention on Biological Diversity in India, focusing on conservation of biodiversity, the sustainable use of its components, and the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising out of the utilization of genetic resources. The Red List will help the Indian Govt. in setting national biodiversity targets, motivate for selection of areas for protection, raising government and public interest and help in identifying fungal species in specific national conservation action programmes. Actividades t�cnicas/cient�ficas"Red List of Macro-Fungi of India" prepared and published, shared with the stakeholders in Government, Universities, State Biodiversity Boards, researchers and libraries. Being the first Red List of Macro-Fungi in the country, it will encourage others to assess and contribute more to this list in future.On-going
Indique cuáles han sido los resultados/logros obtenidos en el marco de las actividades realizadas: 
The Red List of Macro-Fungi has been shared with the National Biodiversity Authority and National Focal Point who have taken note of the threat to fungi, The status of fungi will be reflected in the next National Report to the Convention of Biodiversity (CBD). The print and electronic media have been used to take the matter to the public as well as social media has been used to spread the information and message.
¿Qué esfuerzos se están llevando a cabo para superar dichos obstáculos?: 
Convincing people about this important group of organisms, the Fungi, is not easy as we are used to of talking and knowing more about animal and plant diversity. "Re:wild and IUCN SSC" become the first global organizations to call for the recognition of fungi as three kingdoms of life (Fauna, Flora and Funga) critical to protecting and restoring Earth soon nations and people will realize.

Educaci�n/Comunicaci�n/Concientizaci�nThe red listing process as per IUCN criteria will become part of the course curricula of universities.
Influencia pol�tica/promoci�n de pol�ticasAs Govt. of India has taken note of the status of fungi, the policy for their inclusion in the conservation plans is in the offing. State Biodiversity Boards have been sensitized about the extraction and collection of some fungi being used for economical benefits and regulations are being framed and put into practice for their conservation.
Actividades t�cnicas/cient�ficasIt is proposed that in next assessment for the Red List of macro-fungi of India, species reported only once, 40 – 50 years ago or earlier will be checked out with data and ground verification, to rule out elimination of those species from the habitat.
