Actividades t�cnicas/cient�ficasBotanical or scientific expeditions in the protected areas in Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak). Botanical explorations focused on inventory of floristic composition, conservation status assessment, and the ecological significance for orchids in the protected areas, including permanent forest reserves (Rompin State Park, Perlis State Park, Panti Forest Reserve), Heart of Borneo (HoB) area includes Imbak Canyon Conservation Area, & UNESCO-world heritage Kinabalu Park area (Kadamaian area).On-going
Indique cuáles han sido los resultados/logros obtenidos en el marco de las actividades realizadas: 
The research expeditions in the protected areas (forest reserves, protected transboundary forest areas) revealed a high abundance of orchid species and genera, including discovery of endemic species, new species, new records, & species complexes. The results also highlighted importance of an intact ecosystem towards wild orchids well-being. In addition, many flagship species are categorized under the IUCN Red List Threatened Categories.

Convocar a partes interesadas/creaci�n de redesThe discovery inferred the need for a continuous biodiversity monitoring and conservation assessment to maintain orchid species survival and to reveal the accurate species richness. Additionally, underlined herein is the need for establishment of an arboretum or a conservation center for orchids to accommodate the botanical study.
