Educacin/Comunicacin/ConcientizacinMOBILE EDUCATION UNITS This is a key programme implemented in the period under review. The programme involves taking wildlife conservation education to over 80,000 school children annually. Equipped with a four-wheel vehicle, audio-visual equipment, power generator and education materials the WCK Mobile Education Officers reach out to schools in Kenya including those situated in far flung wilderness areas. Apart from the National Mobile Education Unit located at the Nairobi Head Quarters, WCK has 5 other Regional Mobile Education Units in Mombasa (for the coastal area), Kisumu (for Lake Victoria and Western area), Nakuru (for Rift valley), Kitui (for ASALs) and Meru (for Mountain ecosystem) offices. On-going
Educacin/Comunicacin/ConcientizacinPRODUCTION OF CONSERVATION EDUCATION MATERIALS The Wildlife Clubs of Kenya produced a variety of wildlife education materials. WCK produces and distributes 3000 copies of the Komba conservation magazine to schools in Kenya quarterly every year. Komba is the oldest school conservation magazine in Kenya first produced as a newsletter in September 1969. The contents of the magazine are designed in a language that is palatable to the school youth standard. Nature Activity Guide Books, Conservation Posters, T-Shirts, Calendars and Badges are some of the other Education materials produced by WCK for schools. On-going
