Educaci�n/Comunicaci�n/Concientizaci�nSFI, through the Project Learning Tree (PLT) program, is advancing environmental education, forest literacy and career pathways using trees and forests as windows on the world. This is achieved partly through the development of key educational materials that support curriculum outcomes, through the training of educators to take learning outdoors and through the delivery of forest knowledge to increase forest literacy.On-going

In 2022, PLT engaged close to 11,000 educators reaching an estimated 2 million students through PLT education resources and workshops across the US. PLT released three new environmental education guides (Trees & Me, Connecting for Health and Planet, and Trillions of Trees Canadian,) a new online forest literacy game to connect young adults learn about green careers (Forest Quest) and a careers pathways guide (Black Faces in Green Spaces: The Journey of Black Professionals in Green Careers).
