Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken: 
This recommendation is being implemented by Oceania Regional Office, working with the governments of Fiji, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu.

Policy influencing/advocacy: Supporting national marine spatial planning activities in countries in Oceania Region to include marine protected areas to protect those species of silky sharks, thresher sharks and mobula rays.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome : 
There have been no mentions of any challenges in the implementation of this recommendation by the Oceania Regional Office.
The challenge for the implementation of this recommendation is that there is no reporting from the Members’ Assigned Focal Point from PRETOMA despite of many email efforts from the Secretariat focal point to connect.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution: 
Field activities: support the implementation of national marine spatial plans in member countries in the region to include marine protected areas which will provide protection to those species.
