Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken:
*The Pangolin SG convened 36 experts working on each species of pangolin, and ecological monitoring experts for a 3-day workshop held in Cambridge in July 2018 to advance development of ecological monitoring methods for the species. This has resulted in three peer-reviewed scientific papers and a guidance document on monitoring pangolin populations: the latter will be shared with the CITES Parties.
*The Pangolin SG collaborated with ZSL-Philippine, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) and the Katala Foundation to hold a workshop in Palawan and develop a national conservation strategy for the Philippine pangolin. The strategy will be published in 2019.
*The Pangolin SG collaborated with partners in Taiwan to develop a conservation strategy for the Chinese pangolin in the country and complete a Population and Habitat Viability Assessment (PHVA).
*The Pangolin SG continues to raise awareness and interest in pangolins by posting regular blogs on the website from field researchers, by using social media, and by celebrating World Pangolin Day.
