Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken: 
A Total of 100,000 hectares were reported to be under restoration by end of 2018. This was mainly in Countries where Bonn Challenge barometer has been implemented such as Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Malawi etc. In Africa a total of 28 countries with a total of 113 million hectares have been committed which is beyond 100 million initially envisaged by the initiative. A series of Ministerial summit to endorse The AFR100 and Bonn Challenge in including the Central Africa forest commission countries who endorsed increment of domestic finance for restoration.

Africa have committed 113 million hectares beyond 100 million targets and countries continues. Ownership of the initiative by countries demonstrated by domestic finance.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome : 
Domestic finance for restoration needs to continue be raised through education of policy makers.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution: 
IUCN has received funding from GEF under the TRI project (https://www.iucn.org/theme/forests/projects/restoration-initiative-tri) to support implementation of landscape restoration at scale in 10 countries. Countries have committed to increase financing restoration of degraded landscapes. E.g Malawi committed $6 million every year to reverse degradation and increase youth jobs and agriculture productivity. Rwanda, $6.7 million/year.
