Rassembler des parties prenantes/R�seautageThe Asia Protected Areas Partnership (APAP) held a number of important convening/networking events in 2018. These included: the organisation of a regional technical workshop in the Republic of Korea on protected area management effectiveness, attended by some 34 participants from 12 countries; the organisation of a well-attended side event at CBD COP-14 in Eqypt, on the subject of PA partnerships and the delivery of the Aichi Biodiversity Targets; and the convening of the largest and most diverse Steering Committee meeting in APAP's history. Education/Communication/SensibilisationAPAP has translated the IUCN publication, "A Global Register of Competences for Protected Area Practitioners", into Nepali and Myanmar language. This is a key reference document for PA practitioners. Final design and formatting will be carried out in 2019. On-going

The Asia Protected Areas Partnership (APAP) has continued to expand and strengthen, and is emerging as a key regional platform for the promotion of transboundary conservation. APAP now has 19 members from 16 countries,as well as two Associate Members (ICIMOD and ACB).

FormationIn 2019, APAP has plans to translate the WCPA best practice guidelines on transboundary conservation into a number of Asian languages. It is also considering holding a regional technical workshop on transboundary conservation, to introduce the best practice guidelines to PA practitioners from across Asia.
