ESARO has worked together with IUCN members i.e. AWF, WWF and TRAFFIC regional offices for Africa and engaged in the policy platforms of the Africa Union to the implementation Africa Strategy on Combating illegal exploitation and illegal trade in wild Fauna and Flora in Africa. Specifically providing the needed technical and policy advice.
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome :
The main challenge implementing the resolution as is currently is lack of resources to set up a secretariat or liaison office in Addis.
