The main activities in 2019 are described below:

- The attached paper on land snail fauna in the Mekong Delta was published in 2019, funded by FFI
- A second paper published by Jaap Vermeulen on new species of land snail in the Mekong Delta.

CEPF funded grant in Myanmar – Project summary: Support inclusion of specific provisions for the conservation of limestone biodiversity into EIA guidelines for the mining sector. Develop environmental best practices for limestone quarries, promote their adoption by the Mining Department and cement companies. Promote incorporation of limestone karst KBAs into development plans. Demonstrate best practice show cave management, and share with the Tourism Department and show cave operators. CEPF project page

What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome : 
Lost the leadership and drive of the original proponent of this resolution. However FFI continued the research and some fiedl activites in the South East Asia region with less success in engaging with the cement industry.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution: 
Continue to raise awareness and inform the important stakeholders for a more strategic appraoch towards limestone biodiversity.
Finalise the CEFP report on recommendations for the conservation of limestone biodiversity. Draft report available on request.
