Describe the results/achievements of the actions taken:
Any activity has been implemented yet. A meeting with the promotor of the resolution will be held in the following weeks to develop the road map for the activities until 2025. The following activities will be discussed during this meeting:
- Organisation of a workshop with the Mediterranean members to discuss possible initiatives to be launched in the Mediterranean
- Preparation of a project pilot for the conservation of Mediterranean springs
What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome :
The resolution focus the public policies on freshwater conservation, asking the Member states, on one hand, for a greater law enforcement for the conservation and the wise use of these ecosystems. And, on the other hand, to prioritise the conservation of Mediterranean springs in their nature conservation plans. No specific or particular request is established for the Secretariat.
Bearing in mind that the implementation of this recommendation has not yet started, it is premature to assess on the challenges or obstacles for its implementation.
