IUCN Secretariat has been engaged with the post-2020 global biodiversity framework (GBF)process and have constantly been advocating for genetic diversity in the goal and targets of the GBF.

The resolution called and urged IUCN Members to take into consideration of genetic diversity, it's a very high level ask ant is not easy to take action. There are no reports from any IUCN Members on this resolution.
