1. Community Resource Management Committees (CRMCs) established in 20 Communities. 2 Community Resource Management Areas (CREMA) Established CREMA Constitution and Management plans developed 2. Illegal farming and mining encroachment mapped and continuous monitoring activities happening to avoid expansion 3. 40 hectares of illegally farmed areas replanted and enriched with native tree species to improve regeneration forest integrity 4. The capacity of the CREMA Monitoring Units and the Kyebi District Forestry staff built in the use of SMART monitoring systems. Subsequently the SMART monitoring system equipment both desktop and hand-held equipment procured to support real time monitoring of illegalities within the Atewa Landscape 5. Green development pathway assessment progressing well, with good involvement of all major stakeholders at the landscape and at national level. Three major green opportunities identified Ecotourism, Payment for Ecosystem Services (carbon-based projects) Development of green value-chains for high-end forest botanicals 6. 20 000 trees planted in off-reserve areas Assessment for eco-tourism development in off-reserve areas of Atewa commissioned 7.

Lack of financial resources to engage members and other stakeholders involved in order to contribute to actions, poor commitment by communities and government of to fight illegal mining which is destroying community lands. Steps taken include seeking partnerships with members and other takeholders towards fundraising
