Activit�s visant � influencer et/ou promouvoir les politiquesThe following is with reference to operative statement 3 which 'requests the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA), in cooperation with other stakeholders, to update the protected area management guidelines in order to guarantee effective protection of wetland habitats.' The WCPA Freshwater Specialist Group has contributed to the preparation and review of a document, led by TNC and partners, focused on better guidelines for assessing and tracking the effectiveness of protected area management for inland waters. That document is: 'A Pathway for Inland Waters in the 30 x 30 Target: Building knowledge and capacity for a radical increase in representation and effective management of inland waters in protected and conserved areas.'
