Field activities:
An intervention, in the context of the Leticia Pact for the Amazon, has been implemented this year in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru to support capacity building of female entrepreneurs local authorities, and indigenous communities in issues of bioeconomy and climate change adaptation, respectively.(Completed)
Fundraising:
There have been conversations with IADB and CAF on the possibility of receiving funding to work on issues of forest conservation, sustainable use and restoration in the Amazon Basin. (On-going)

What challenges/obstacles have been encountered in the implementation of this Resolution and how were they overcome : 
COICA, the main promoter of RES129, has faced serious operational constraints due to an internal conflict among its members in 2023. Situation is improving but is still challenging.
Briefly describe what future actions are needed for the implementation of this Resolution: 
Policy influencing/advocacy:
1. SUR will try to reestablish a strong relationship with COICA and rediscuss the possibility of working on the formulation and implementation of a joint strategy. This includes organizing a roadshow in Washington, D.C., to try to commit funding from philanthropies and other sources for interventions in line with RES129.
2. SUR will try to take advantage of the mandate of the 2023 Amazon Summit of Belém do Pará and of the upcoming UNFCCC COP30 of 2025 for combining Amazon countries' governments to discuss how to align narratives and proposals for the Amazon basin and prepare a portfolio of interventions to be presented to potential donors.
