Asia countries have accomplished a great deal in understanding and documenting plant diversity. This edition of the Asian Plant Conservation Report presents readers with progress and successful cases of plant conservation in Asia. The first section introduces the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC). Subsequent sections provide basic information on features of plant diversity in Asia. Two additional sections present the threats to plant diversity and detail of implementation of the GSPC and its 16 targets. Two features of this booklet should be highlighted: one is the map on progress made by each Asia country; the other one is the case study to demonstrate the progress made under each target.
Bilingual publication, English and Chinese. Includes bibliographic references. Launched at the 5th Asia Regional Conservation Forum (RCF) in Incheon, Republic of Korea (2011). Only English language portion of the text is available as a PDF.
