Forest, food and farmers

Presentation of the Mount Elgon Project; an integrated forest management project. Shown are young people talking about forest conservation within the context of an environmental education campaign and interviews with those work for the project. The aims of the project are threefold: forest conservation, sustainable farming and a improved water management. Project activities include: training courses for local farmers on horticulture, fish farming, reforestation, stove construction to use less fuelwood; as well as courses for women.
