Policy influencing/advocacyThe importance of Mountain PAs has been systematically promoted in policy documents submitted to the SCBD on the implementation of Target 11.
Scientific/technical activitiesA number of case studies presented during the WPC highlighted the important role of Mountain PAs for maintaining ecosystem services. There have been considered in the book "Protected Areas Governance and Management" which has been widely distributed.
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
The importance of Mountain PAs is increasingly recognized in national efforts to establish connectivity conservation corridors in mountain ecosystems as a key element in strategies and plans to address climate change impacts and disaster risk reduction.
