Capacity-buildingProposed internal workshops for the Union; Under a new project (RELIEF Kit), 6 regional workshops will be done in Latin America and Caribbean, in East and West Africa, Oceania and Asia; Under the EPIC project 6 national workshops will be done in 2016-2017
Education/Communication/Raising awarenessUnder EPIC and RELIEF Kit projects, lessons learned from these projects will be produced and disseminate to any relevant event
Field activitiesActivities on the ground under EPIC are planned until mid-2017 (slope restoration, diversification of livelihoods, mangrove restoration, protected areas management for avalanches, traditional techniques for reducing land degradation etc.)
Scientific/technical activitiesUnder a new project (RELIEF Kit) 6 regional assessments will be produced to produce knowledge on links between Biodiversity and disaster Risk Reduction; Technical papers to be submitted to a journal
