OtherAs early as November 2013, IUCN set an example by making available to IPBES up to USD 1,450,000 of in-kind contribution, hoping to be followed by many others.
OtherStates Members of IUCN welcomed IUCN encouragements and supported significantly the IPBES budget during the period 2012-2014.
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
States both members from IUCN and IPBES (65 out of 124 IPBES Member States) funded 99.88 % of cash contributions and pledges made to IPBES (USD 25,985,312 from May 2012 - Nov. 2014; USD 18,776,317 for 2014) and provided USD 1,470,000 of in-kind contributions.

Capacity building activities are foreseen to start in 2015.

Future ActionDescription
Capacity-building First IPBES Capacity Building Forum will occur in 2015, IUCN will take actions to support participation to the forum and, further, to capacity building activities.
