The ELC has been explore options through projects to fund the operation and further development of ECOLEX.

A new ECOLEX system and interface is under development to maximize users' experience and to meet new user requirements.

Description
Enlarging the capacity of the ELC and/or management unit to take the lead in developing a node of biodiversity-related information on governance, policy and law for use by international institutions including the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), which is now located in Bonn.

Description
Intensify efforts to promote the use of ECOLEX significantly beyond what has already been achieved. Continue and increase, as appropriate, IUCN support and contribution to ECOLEX
