Scientific/technical activitiesThe ELC continues to perform as the management unit of ECOLEX and has explored the options to link ECOLEX with the Protected Planet database. Financial commitments were made by both UNEP and FAO to support the revamp of ECOLEX to improve user experience and to offer value-added services.
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
A new ECOLEX system and interface is under development to maximize users' experience and to meet new user requirements.
What challenges have you encountered in implementing this Resolution and what measures have you taken to overcome them?: 
The ELC has been explore options through projects to fund the operation and further development of ECOLEX.
Identify and briefly describe what future actions are planned for the implementation of this Resolution:

Capacity-buildingEnlarging the capacity of the ELC and/or management unit to take the lead in developing a node of biodiversity-related information on governance, policy and law for use by international institutions including the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), which is now located in Bonn.
Education/Communication/Raising awarenessIntensify efforts to promote the use of ECOLEX significantly beyond what has already been achieved. Continue and increase, as appropriate, IUCN support and contribution to ECOLEX
