MSC as an official research institute for monitoring and analyzing ballast water released by oil tankers in Iraqi ports. Ballast water released in thousands of tons cause the transfer of intrusive marine species, many of which are considered very dangerous to the marine environment. This is also applicable to fouling species attached to the structure of foreign tankers crossing different environments worldwide.
