Although it is difficult to assign attribution to IUCN, there are increasing governance mechanisms that reflect South-South cooperation, such as the South-South cooperation fund set up by the Chinese government to address climate change; the Green Climate Fund set up by South Korea; UNEP South-South Cooperation Exchange Mechanism; joint capacity-building initiatives and training programs, interregional policy dialogue, expert forums and communities of practice, sharing of best practices, and professional and operational exchanges between countries of the two regions under the Inter-American Development Bank and the African Development Bank. These are only some of the trends that show the strengthening of South-South cooperation.
