Capacity-buildingDevelopment of the brochure "Toolkit" to help existing and the development of new National Committees - this action was implemented by WGNCDENCA.
Capacity-buildingThe formation of a pilot test group consisting of Regional Representatives who will test the logistics for a global working group - this action is being implemented by WGNCDENCA.
Convene stakeholders/NetworkingHosting the six hour event "Celebrating National and Regional Committees" during opening day of WCC 2016 - this action will be implemented by WGNCDENCA together with the Secretariat and other National Committees.
Convene stakeholders/NetworkingWorking Group on National Committee Development (WGNCDENCA). Monthly meetings held with the National Committees and Commissions within West Europe, East Europe, North and Central Asia. Including updating the group page on the Union Portal.
Education/Communication/Raising awarenessDevelopment of Project Postcard. An initiative which promotes members activities in achieving the IUCN global programme.
Policy influencing/advocacyDevelopment of a motion to the upcoming WCC 2016 proposing the formation of a global group for National and Regional Committee development - this action was led by WGNCDENCA.
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
As of April 2016 the Working Group has held 29 meetings. All minutes and document have been uploaded to the group page on the Union Portal.
Production of the Toolkit for National Committees and it's active use in capacity building.
The "Global Group motion" was endorsed by 38 members in the 10 IUCN Regions covering 28 countries.
Bringing together a pilot group of Regional Representatives to test the logistics for a global group.
Production of materials to promote Project Postcards highlighting projects from 9 members from 9 countries. Was distributed at the Regional Conservation Forum for Europe, North and Central Asia held in Helsinki December 2015.
What challenges have you encountered in implementing this Resolution and what measures have you taken to overcome them?: 
As suggested above National Committees themselves are responsible for delivering these actions. It requires greater recognition of the work of National Committees within the IUCN family. To fully achieve the delivery of the resolution 005 a much more integrated approach is required from all parts of the IUCN constituency.
