Convene stakeholders/NetworkingThere has been an active consultative process on a draft IUCN policy on biodiversity offsets both within IUCN and externally. Comments from the consultation were considered and where appropriate incorporated in the draft policy. The revised draft policy on biodiversity offsets will be voted on as a resolution in the upcoming World Conservation Congress in Hawaii.
Scientific/technical activitiesThe draft IUCN policy on biodiversity offsets has been finalized by the biodiversity offsets policy working group (members of which are comprised of IUCN from IUCN constituency)
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
A comprehensive online consultative process for both IUCN constituents and external stakeholders has resulted in a draft IUCN biodiversity offsets policy, that has been endorsed as a by IUCN Council. The draft policy will now be voted on at the IUCN Congress in Hawaii.
What challenges have you encountered in implementing this Resolution and what measures have you taken to overcome them?: 
The process has been adapted to fit the financial resources available, for example, this meant less face to face discussions with stakeholders globally

OtherFollowing adoption of the IUCN biodiversity offsets policy at IUCN Congress in Hawaii, a series of capacity building measures are planned with different stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of the policy. The specific activities undertaken will depend on an assessment and request of what is need by different stakeholders in the biodiversity offsets process.
Scientific/technical activitiesGuidance will be developed on challenging aspects of implementing and monitoring biodiversity offsets in line with the IUCN policy.
