2016: PRETOMA Sponsor Member of this resolution, reported that advocacy efforts have been made and as a result, at a national level (Costa Rica), the CITES Scientific Committee issued a scientific report in 2015 that restricts the export of products derived from hammerhead shark. At the regional level, hammerheads are included in Annex 2 of the Memorandum of Understanding on Migratory Sharks, which regulates the actions of conservation of this species.
