Field activities290 Solar PV home lighting systems were installed in Mananakele community, Kapare District, Central Province, PNG. As part of the rural electrification programme, this project offsets the pending need for biomass and fossil fuels to provide lighting and electricity generation, mitigating future emissions associated with energy consumption for the electrification of the village.On-going
Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
In 270 houses, TAG Holdings Ltd. installed a system comprising of the following components: 1 X 50Wp solar panel; 1 X 35Ah, 12 Volt battery; 4 X 5W LED lights; and
One charge and discharge controller and inverter (all in one box). The systems also have provisions for telephone charging operates for an average of five hours per day under average daily insolation of 4kWh/m2/day.
