Education/Communication/Raising awareness#NatureForAll - NSW OEH has supported and promoted the global #NatureForAll campaign by becoming a core member of the #NatureForAll task force, fundin and developing a series of programs that connect people with nature through education and recreation, created a social media campaign aimed at 18-24 year olds to encourage them to visit National Parks.On-going
Policy influencing/advocacyHealthy Parks Healthy People - NSW OEH has initiated a HPHHP program which includes representation on a whole of NSW government task force to address childhood obesity and overweight issues, has presented at the 'Nature is Good Medicine' sessions at the World Congress on Public Health in Melbourne (April 2017), and become a member of the WCPA Health and Well-being Specialist Group. Policy influencing/advocacyOEH extended funding for the Senior Policy Officer for 1 extra year to support implementation of Promise of Sydney recommendations in NSW protected areas.On-going
Scientific/technical activitiesGreen List of Protected and Conserved Areas - NSW OEH has supported, promoted and implemented the IUCN Green List programme by participating in Green List events, contributing to revisions of the Green List Standard and User Manual and being a member of the Standards Committee, committing to relisting three protected included on the 2014 Green List, becoming a member of the WCPA green list specialist group.- None -
