Participants were professionally involved in a variety of aspects of the tourism sector including business, research, government and NGO work, and many had both global and local experience. Most voiced interest in participating in a collaborative effort should one result from this knowledge resource.Completed
Education/Communication/Raising awarenessWe are now in the process of disseminating the findings of the research and are distributing the report to raise awareness about recommendations. On-going

Please report on the result /achievement of the actions taken: 
A technical paper, "Resolution 060: Improving standards in ecotourism. Critical Analysis and Global Insights for IUCN Intervention in the Tourism Sector," was authored by S. Feyers, S. Tolbert, and M. Altmann. This report is attached below. Based on the results of this research, revised recommendations were developed for IUCN to consider in the implementation of the resolution, should the institution agree there is an opportunity and need to be more involved in improving conservation outcomes of the nature-tourism sector.
