Transboundary Conservation Specialist Group has been discussing the potential involvement in the Biosphere.Center initiative, developed by Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, Germany, and Michael Succow Foundation, and supported by Europarc Germany. Transboundary Conservation Specialist Group has been supporting cooperation and exchange of knowledge and best practices between scientists, protected area managers, civil society, academia and other network members by enabling communication platform for its network and preparing a widely distributed e-bulletin TB eNEWS. This continuous action directly feeds into the implementation of item 7 of WCC Res 035.

In light of item 2 of WCC Res 035 which called upon the United Nations Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) to develop and maintain a comprehensive global inventory of transboundary conservation areas, as a component of the World Database on Protected Areas, Transboundary Conservation Specialist Group learned WCMC might be undertaking some action about it.
