The IUCN Global Group for National and Regional Committee Development met 5 times in 2017 by online means (Skype).

The concept of a face-to-face meeting was approved by the Global Group and is currently being organised to coincide with an existing international event.

Overall the Global Group has achieved 100% representation from across all IUCN Regions and includes representatives from Secretariat and IUCN Council. The Global Group is now firmly established and and participants actively engaged.
