Description and results/achievements of activities:
By initiating, with the Govt. of Tonga a marine compliance review, strategy development and implementation, ORO is contributing to a new compliance framework aimed at reducing the impacts of illegal, unreported and unregulated fisheries, and to strengthening the governance of the seas, fisheries resources and coastal territories.

Description
This year the assessment and analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of Tonga's current maritime compliance assets, resources and systems will occur to contribute to a new framework aimed at reducing the impacts
of illegal, unreported and unregulated fisheries, and to strengthen the governance of Tonga's seas, fisheries resources and coastal territories.
