Activities carried out to implement this Resolution
Scientific/technical activities
Describe the results/achievements of the activities
The IUCN Council approved astep-wise process to identify implemented and obsolete Resolutions and Recommendations for retirement by mid-2019. According to this process, the IUCN Secretariat will prepare a pre-classification of IUCN Resolutions and Recommendations by the end of 2018 and present it to Council at its October session. As part of this process, the IUCN Council will set up a task-force to consider this pre-classification in detail.

Future actions / activities needed for the implementation of this Resolution
The future actions are:
1. Secretariat to carry out pre-classification of all Resolutions/Recommendations in 2018
2. PPC Task Force to consider pre-classification and produce final classification in 2018/2019
3. The IUCN Council to adopt the final list of IUCN Resolutions / Recommendations to be retired by mid-2019.
4. Secretariat to publish the archive of obsolete and implemented Resolutions and Recommendations by mid-2019.
