Describe the results/achievements of the activities
There are many results associated with this resolution and it is not possible to list them all here, nor list all of the organisations involved. Several organisations have promoted activities under Stream 1 of the WPC, including establishing the IUCN Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas and ensuring that appropriate ambition is included in the development of the post 2020 biodiversity framework. On Stream 2, Climate Change, many organisations led by Colombia National Parks, have pushed for commitments to the Paris Agreement that imply the expansion of national park systems in both marine and terrestrial environments. On Stream 3, Health and Well-being, there is a strong push forward for a global initiative. On Stream 4 on Food and Water, there has been a surge of effort on promoting nature-based solutions, including through the establishment of PANORAMA: Solutions for a Healthy Planet. On Stream 5, there has been an effort to establish Biodiversity and Business Solutions, and to secure IUCN policy in support of controlling destructive activities in PAs. On Stream 6, there is a considerable suite of activities regarding governance systems for protected areas and support for Indigenous and Community-Conserved Areas and Territories. On Stream 7, there is an engagement with Indigenous Peoples to establish appropriate recognition of protected and conserved areas under community governance. On Stream 8, there is significant effort to grow the global network of partners implementing #NatureForAll, a product of this stream. Many of the outputs of the WPC are further supported by resolutions taken at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Hawai'i.
