IUCN and other organizations are part of the SNAPP Compensatory Conservation team (https://snappartnership.net/teams/compensatory-conservation/), further analyzing the role of Biodiversity Offsets.
IUCN, along with The Biodiversity Consultancy, have generated an online database of national-level biodiversity offsets policy : https://portals.iucn.org/offsetpolicy/ With support from the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, IUCN and TBC also generated an analysis paper - https://www.iucn.org/sites/dev/files/content/documents/understanding_government_biodiversity_offset_policies_in_the_mining_sector_november_2017.pdf.

The lack of dedicated project funds has made IUCN Secretariat engagement ad hoc and periodic.

A "project plan" and financial resources will go a long way to enhancing the coordination of the many efforts underway on the issues germane to this Resolution.
