Field activitiesThe communities of Talise, Narovorovo and Nasawa are currently arranging for reticulated power distribution from the installed and commissioned 75kW Talise Hydro Project, which involved training around best practices for Environmental Impact Assessment in selecting hydropower sites. The communities of Talise, Narovorovo and Nasawa will be successfully utilising electricity generated from the 75kW Talise Hydro Project upon completion of the distribution network for reticulated power.

Convene stakeholders/NetworkingThe ongoing work of IUCN with the Dept. of Energy in Vanuatu has led to requests by the Government of Vanuatu to partner with the Global Green Growth Institute in the development of a GCF proposal and the implementation, as an Accredited Entity, of the National Green Energy Fund, which would assist in providing rural access to electricity, land use planning for the development & improvement of outer island communities & safeguarding biodiversity.
